The Whangarei District Council Walking and Cycling Strategy provides a framework for increasing participation in walking and cycling across the district.  The Strategy provides Whangarei District Council, other funding agencies such as Waka Kotahi, MBIE and community organisations with priorities and strategic direction for investment in walking and cycling infrastructure and activities.

Organisational Solutions prepared the strategy in consultation with key departments within Council and undertook a consultation process to incorporate community feedback into the Strategy.
